Across the street is a park which is nice.
Since we've been following and thoroughly enjoying Adventures in Renovating a Brooklyn Limestone for some time we thought we do something similar for our "Roseville Tuscan". I'm in the software industry and my wife is more of a knitter than decorator so this is a layman's adventure. As we seek full loan approval (should be no problem but with the crazy times we live in who knows) we also will be choosing the colors and upgrades of our home. This includes carpet (a certain upgrade), tile, paint, cabinet stain, granite color etc etc. Of course we have a budget but the hope is to create a home that is stylish and comfortable.
Our first decision is the balusters. There are two choices: Stained rail with stained baluster
or stained rail with white baluster.
Any thoughts? We welcome you and hope you'll enjoy this adventure with us.
Congrats on the new slab. How fun to build. So many choices. Both staircases are nice but I think I prefer the wood look.
ReplyDeleteIf iron is not a choice then I'll have to go with stained wood.
ReplyDeleteI say wood stain with the white balusters, a classic look. If you're completely undecided, then consider the white would need more effort cleaning and then painting from time to time.
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for the double stained. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteWhat color(s) are you planning for the area around the staircase? The white with stained looks nice with the taupe-y paint, but would the stained with stained would look better with a whiter/lighter paint.
